Part 1: Storytelling Evening

Location: Mary Irwin Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston St, Kelowna
Rating: All ages, however some people’s sharing may be triggering.
Accessibility:
- Accessible theatre entry
- Dedicated wheelchair seating is available inside the Mary Irwin Theatre
- ASL Translation is available
- No bright flashing lights will be used
- Accessible parking is available on the street (1 spot) and in the parking lot behind the theatre (2 spots)
- The recording of the livestream will have closed captioned added to it by Nov 7, 2021
Description: Trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse folks will share their journeys of transition in this live storytelling event. If you would like to share your story, we are welcome you to do so via one of the following methods:
- In person at the theatre (must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19)
- Pre-recorded (Kelowna Pride will assist with recording)
- Anonymously: participants can submit a written copy of their story and one of our hosts will read it aloud during the event.
Following the sharing of journeys, attendees will be invited to ask questions about people's transitions.
Between 6:30 PM & 7:00 PM, Samten Stobbe (She/Her/They/Them) will serenade patrons as they enter the Mary Irwin Theatre.

Please note that the Mary Irwin Theatre and mezzanine will be alcohol- and drug-free spaces.
COVID Regulations: All persons over the age of twelve must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and present a valid BC Vaccination Card with government issued photo ID to attend in person. Masks are mandatory inside the RCA at all times, except when patrons are actively eating or drinking.
Part 2: Trans + Non-Binary Social
Time: 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Location: South Atrium, Rotary Centre for the Arts, 421 Cawston Ave., Kelowna
Rating: All Ages
Accessibility:

- RCA Atrium and adjoining restrooms are wheelchair accessible
- Accessible parking is available on the street (1 spot) and in the parking lot behind the theatre (2 spots)
- The recording of the livestream will have closed captioning added to it by Nov. 7, 2021
Description: Following Part 1, KPS will host a casual and informal social in the Atrium of the Rotary Centre for the Arts. Background music will be performed by {insert names}. The upper mezzanine, outside the Mary Irwin Theatre, will be an alcohol-free space. Liquor service will be available in the Atrium.
